CN Portugal Advent Calendar - Day 1

Hi. A little too late. But i'm OK. Thanks to you!
Today, we begin with some help: do you have pictures of pre-2006 Cartoon Network Europe web pages? cartoonnetwork.nu? cartoonnetwork.co.uk? cartoonnetwork.es? I've been checking some sites and they only have from after 2006. But they saved cartoonnetworkeurope.com's first look and also cartoonnetworkhq.net's first look when it was actually a page that took you to CN websites from around the world. If so, i still have fear of that page that popped up before the actual pop up that contained the Cartoon Network website. The one that had the CN logo surrounded by signs. Oh, and don't forget not to put links on Internet Archive. Just put them on Toonzone or something.

  1. Well, I found the commercial from CN UK which showed the pre-2006 look the website at 4:10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfwGzK98p6Q

Also the Polish site didn't had that look. Instead, they still used (till February 2006) that old HTML website, which the other CN websites got ridden of by 2003. In Febuary 2006 the Polish site started using the CN City theme, but with old CN logo visible till April 2006 when it was changed too as well.

    1. Heh, thanks. Poland was uncivilized until they changed pages. I remember visiting the polish site in 2004 and actually the older one was still in use! The one that looked like CN USA's website in 1998.
About the Flash one, it had a landing page with CN's logo surrounded by arrows with some boring stuff such as privacy policy.
The flash site popped up a little later while the "Watch" section in its european version had a desert theme. The games section was themed after eggs in a factory. The dutch site still had such look, even after CN's City rebranding to most of Europe. (around June/July 2006, give or take).
The French and Italian websites already had the new city look on their sites but the same situation as Poland. They still had the checkerboard logo until around October.
Also, i need pictures. Please someone go to the Internet Archive to find working copies and put pictures on Flickr or Picasa or just put them on Toonzone.
